02 / CLIMATE-ADAPTATION DESIGN

Design the intervention.
Defend the decision.

UrbanProof turns a site proposal into an auditable climate claim. Tune canopy, permeability and shade; inspect the counterfactual; export every assumption behind the recommendation.

WORKING
MODELSYNTHETIC SITE TILE
YOUR MISSION, IN PLAIN WORDS

Compare a cooler, more absorbent site plan.

Add trees, porous ground or built shade. Compare the model’s surface temperature and rainwater runoff with the same site before those changes.

How to try it in 60 seconds
  1. Press Load balanced scheme. Change tree cover, porous ground or built shade.
  2. Switch between Heat, Runoff and Evidence. Surface temperature describes the ground and roofs, not the air. A runoff coefficient is the assumed fraction of rain that leaves as surface water.
  3. Compare with the reference baseline. Export evidence to keep the settings, model results and limitations together.

This is a synthetic site. The ranges show assumed model sensitivity, not a calibrated confidence interval or a forecast for a real parcel.

D / CLAIM LEDGER

A recommendation is only as strong as its chain of evidence.

CLAIM 01

Peak surface temperature decreases.

A linear comparison using assumed effects of trees, shade and porous ground. Drought and maintenance change those effects. Not a calibrated surface energy balance.

MODEL UP-THERMAL 0.5 ILLUSTRATIVE
CLAIM 02

Runoff coefficient decreases.

An assumed rainfall-runoff fraction based on porous ground and tree cover. No storm hydrograph or peak discharge is calculated.

MODEL UP-RUNOFF 0.4 ILLUSTRATIVE
LIMITATION 01

Site geometry is synthetic.

This proof mirrors a LiDAR/CityGML ingestion structure but does not claim to reproduce a real Belval parcel.

NEXT VALIDATION

Calibrate against two summer campaigns.

Thermal transects, soil infiltration and canopy health observations are required before a planning claim.
